DRILLING WASTE HAULING
Whiterock Ventures is a progressive company in Edmonton providing waste disposal services. We are experts in contaminated soil hauling. Whiterock Ventures was formed in 2007, by merging seven companies in Edmonton.
In order to haul waste properly, there are many things that need to be addressed.
Equipment can be expensive and time consuming.
A one ton dual axel pick-up truck is essential. An oil field truck should also be diesel because it allows for enough starting torque, pulling power, and fuel economy to haul the kinds of loads needed in the oilfield. A truck with a flatbed makes it easier to turn on tight rig locations and back-up into the areas needed efficiently and effectively. Many trucks also have extra fuel tanks to prevent long journeys back to town; oil wells are often located miles from town. If a pick up for another load or backhaul from a different rig is needed, preparation has already occurred. Another feature that can be very advantageous on a truck is a gin pole. If the rig happens to not have a forklift or if it is not working, off loading of items can still occur with the gin pole or winch set-up on the rear of the truck (only after unhitching the trailer).
CONTAMINATED SOIL HAULING
Whiterock Ventures is a progressive company in Edmonton providing waste disposal services providing expertise is Contaminated soil hauling.
What is soil hauling?
Excavation of contaminated soil from a site involves digging it up for “ex situ” (above-ground) treatment or for disposal in a landfill. Excavation also may involve removing old drums of chemicals and other buried debris that might be contaminated. Removing these potential sources of contamination keeps people from coming into contact with contamination and helps speed the cleanup of contaminated groundwater that may be present.
CONTAMINATED WASTE HAULING
Whiterock Ventures are a waste disposal business started with an excellent entrepreneurial opportunity with tenacity and creativity of a successful entrepreneur. Here is how our venture in Edmonton started.
Getting to know about the disposal chain: The hazardous waste removal and disposal industry is rapidly gaining prominence in Canada and throughout the world. There are millions tons of waste that are generated by only the households. There are also massive amounts of hazardous waste that are generated by the industrial, commercial and medical sectors and this is why contaminated waste hauling is needed. Depending on the waste, we recycle it, dispose it off or deliver it to an approved facility service for the same.
Basing foundation: Hazardous waste is defined as materials that are potentially flammable, reactive, corrosive or toxic. Our startup required the purchase or leasing of vacuum trucks, vacuum trailers, super vacuum trucks, pump tankers, bulk tankers, vans, roll-offs, semi-trailer trucks and other assets. To protect our workers and our business, it was critical to make sure we have the right equipment for the task at hand. We never attempt to save a few bucks by using non-specialized equipment for specialized transportation or removal tasks.
Investigation of competitors: Before we decided to open a hazardous waste disposal business in this town, it was worthwhile to find out how strong the competition is. We generated a list of competitors in the area. It’s important to be aware of what the competition is doing. We took the time to visit the competition to properly assess their strengths and weaknesses.
Create business plans: Our hazardous waste disposal company’s business plan is a document that shaped our goals and strategies on a go-forward basis. Lacking a solid business plan, many startups find themselves rudderless and incapable of executing consistent decision making processes, while we being committed business planners rely on our plans to guide all of our decision making and short-term planning efforts and long term success.
Catching up with the advices: the next step was to take advices from folks who are already into the business. We would have been overoptimistic to think that our local competitors will talk to us but owners of a hazardous waste disposal business on the other side of the country were much happier to talk with us, after they realized that we reside far away from them and won’t be stealing their local customers.
Local (intrastate) moves are generally based on a per-hour cost for the personnel and
the number of vehicles that the mover provides (up to a certain distance, with longer
distances based on the weight of your shipment and the mileage it is transported) and the
level of liability that the mover will cover in the event of loss or damage is generally
less than would apply for an interstate move.
Once you have compiled a list of movers, inform them of the destination and timing of your
move. Ask them about the types of services they offer. Also ask them to explain their
estimates in detail and to give you a copy. If any company refuses to give you a written
estimate, you should eliminate them from consideration. Then carefully compare to see which
mover best suits your needs and budget.
The cost of your move will be based on the actual weight of your belongings and the distance
they are shipped, plus the amount of packing and other services that you require.
To help you anticipate the cost of your move, movers will give you an estimate of the price.
Be sure to get written estimates from at least 3 different movers so that you can compare
their services and prices.
