About Us
Welcome to U-Stor-It Self Storage. We are proud to serve our fellow York County residents with two of the finest storage facilities, located in North York and Dallastown. We have been proudly voted Best Mini Storage of York County for 3 years in a row. We work very hard to provide a safe, clean, and hassle-free environment for all. We also serve a variety of customers with a range of needs including but not limited to: residential, business owners and students. Our motto is “it’s your life, let us help U-Stor-It with confidence.”
Our company fully believes that it is important to give back to the community, and with the help of our mascot Phillup the Box we are always out and about. We also do several donations throughout the year, such as Children’s Home of York, York County SPCA, York County Habitat for Humanity, Bridge of Hope, and our military personnel through an amazing local company in Hanover, PA “For the Love of a Veteran Inc.” We are also proud to announce for the 2018-2019 year we are ambassadors in York’s Unity through 10,000 Acts of Kindness.
Should I have the mover come to my home to look at my goods?
You have the right to receive an estimate based on a physical (in-house) survey of your
shipment. Under the regulations, your mover must base your estimate (either binding,
non-binding, or not-to-exceed), on a physical survey of the household goods to be moved if
the goods are located with a 50-mile radius of your mover’s (or his agent’s) place of business.
You may elect to waive this requirement for a physical survey, but if you elect to do so,
you must sign a written waiver of your rights.
Will my estimate be based on the weight of my shipment?
If you are receiving a non-binding estimate, the charges that your mover assesses on your
shipment must be based on the actual weight of the shipment. Your mover may not lawfully
assess transportation charges on shipments with non-binding estimates on cubic feet, volume,
time (hourly) or on any basis other than weight. Also, the federal regulations require that
shipment weights must be determined on a state certified scale with a copy of the weigh
master’s tickets provided to you in support of the final invoice.
