Since 1976 Trans American Trucking Service, Inc. has provided its customers with transport, warehouse, packing and export services. We are strategically located in South Plainfield, New Jersey and also offer a terminal within five miles of the Port of Baltimore, Maryland allowing us to work within tighter schedules resulting in reduced overall cost for you along with greater customer satisfaction.

In addition to trucks and drivers we provide all necessary support services and vehicles as may be required.

Trans American has authority to ship within the contiguous United States and Canada and was one of the first Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and Partners in Protection (PIP) certified carriers. Our workers all hold the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). We are also members in good standing of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), the NY/NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association and the Railway Industrial Clearance Association (RICA).

Our fleet of equipment spans from 48 foot vans to 19 axle trailers and our operators are some of the most skilled drivers in the industry. We have the knowledge and experience to safely and efficiently handle cargo weighing from 300 to 300,000 pounds.

Trans American’s main terminal is located in South Plainfield, New Jersey only 15 minutes from Port Newark and in close proximity to major highways while our Maryland terminal sits only five miles from the Port of Baltimore.

Our services extend nationwide with authority to ship throughout the contiguous United States and Canada.

Trans American’s two warehouse locations offer approximately 200,000 total square feet of indoor storage with an additional 200,000 square feet of outside storage.

With overhead crane capacity of 300,000 pounds, forklift capacity up to 25 tons and experienced operators, Trans American warehousing is prepared to handle and accomodate cargo of all sizes.
