As part of our desire to help anyone with the difficult process of moving, we have created these pages. We loaded them with helpful info about us and things to consider before and during the moving process.
These pages will help you organize the move, plan it and make it a much less stressful event in your life.
Suburban Solutions began in 2010 in the Washington, D.C. area. Since then, it has grown to be the largest and highest rated (YELP!) moving company in the Baltimore, Maryland, Washington Metro, and Virginia. The D.C. office is our headquarters for Suburban Solutions and has a crew of over 80 trusted drivers and crew members.
In 2012, we opened our office in Brooklyn, NY. During these five years, we became one of the most reputable movers in the Great New York Area as well. We specialize in North Jersey, Hoboken, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bronx, Long Island, Staten Island and Queens. We also service West Chester and surrounding Suburbs.

COMMERCIAL MOVING SERVICES
The professionals at our Commercial Moving Suburban Solutions knows that dealing with commercial moving or demolition is a ton of work. It isn’t uncommon for people to begin a move or demolition project and then realize halfway through that they need extra support. This is why many people turn to Suburban Solutions for assistance. While hiring a moving company isn’t free, the benefits can surely be worth the investment. There are several factors to consider when planning a commercial move or demolition, such as transporting delicate computers, electronics, office files, and much more.
After a demolition, there are bound to be heavy piles of material that need to be recycled, dropped off at the dump, or donated to a local charity. Our Commercial Moving company can help with this process.
Suburban Solutions knows that every office move is different. Just as with our residential moves, we know that clear, effective communication is critical. We treat each office move as though we are relocating our own office and provide the same respect and courtesy that we give our local residential clients.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALTY SERVICES
At Suburban Solutions Moving, we recognize that certain moves require more than just loading and unloading furniture and a moving truck. For our residential customers, there are things to consider like heirlooms, pool tables, appliances and home gyms that require a certain level of precision and craftmanship to prepare for a move. To ensure these high value items get prepared and shipped safely, let us provide you with an add on service to handle these specialty tasks with skilled professionals.
All movers are required to prepare an order for service before they transport your shipment.
The order for service provides you with written confirmation of the moving services that you
requested to be performed in conjunction with your shipment. It also lists the agreed upon
dates for the pickup and delivery of your shipment and amount of valuation that you requested,
along with any special services that you ordered.
It also features a place and telephone number where the mover can contact you during the move.
Additionally, the order for service shows the charges that you will be assessed for your
household move or corporate relocation. If you are moving under a non-binding estimate,
the order for service will indicate the amount of the estimated non-binding charges,
the method of payment for the charges and, in cases where the actual charges exceed the
non-binding estimate, the maximum amount that you are required to pay at the time of delivery
in order to obtain possession of your shipment (you will have 30 days following delivery to
pay the balance of the charges due). If you are moving under a binding estimate,
the order for service will show the charges that you will be required to pay at delivery,
based on the binding estimate and the terms of payment. You and your mover must sign the
order for service.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
