Local moves:
within the state of California are within a 100 mile radius from door to door of your move. All local moves are based on an hourly basis from start to finish of your move.
Long distance moves:
are any moves that are further than 100 miles from the city of origin. Pricing for long distance moves is based on total weight of your household goods being shipped and is determined by a free home estimate by our professional estimator.
Storage
All American Movers & Storage proudly offers a private, clean, safe storage facility to take care of your goods.
Whether you need storage for a week or for years, we provide a secure environment to store your goods. From apartments to large homes and office furniture, All American Movers has your storage needs covered.
We store all of your goods in individual wooden vaults that measure 8 ft. high, 7 ft. deep and 5 feet wide. We also provide special sofa vaults that we shrink wrap each sofa/large chairs and place them in a special vault.
What should I do with my jewelry and other valuable items?
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
How do I know whether or not a moving company is licensed?
A reputable and reliable moving company has such information on their website.
If that’s not the case, call the movers and
ask for a proof of licensure. Never hire an unlicensed mover!
