Shetler Moving & Storage provides families and corporate, military and government clients with a full range of moving and logistics services to move people, products and assets anywhere around the globe. Shetler Moving & Storage is proud to be a licensed agent of Atlas Van Lines.
Atlas Van Lines was founded in 1948 when a group of 33 entrepreneurs in moving and storage formed an alliance. They would help one another build their businesses by better serving customers. They envisioned a cooperative from coast to coast, owned by themselves, doing business according to the golden rule.
Today, Atlas Van Lines is a subsidiary of Atlas World Group.
Atlas is comprised of a family of companies headquartered in Evansville, Indiana. Atlas provides comprehensive, global services for people and businesses that go new places. More than 430, independent Atlas Agencies across the U.S. and Canada, plus authorized partners in 140 countries, work in concert to bring reliable, worry-free service to customers every day.
Our moving companies serve both the entire U.S.—as part of the Atlas agent network—and the world from our locations in Evansville, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; and Cincinnati, Ohio. With Shetler Moving & Storage, Inc., you get complete capabilities for home moving services, including local moving, interstate and long distance moving, corporate relocation services and storage.
In all likelihood, you will find that an on-site estimate based on a physical survey
of the items that you plan on moving will be more accurate than an estimate that you
provide to your mover over the telephone or the Internet. So, unless circumstances warrant
(normally due to the time constraints of a short-notice move or because you are only shipping
a few items) think carefully before you elect to waive the required physical survey
of your shipment.
If you are receiving a non-binding estimate, the charges that your mover assesses on your
shipment must be based on the actual weight of the shipment. Your mover may not lawfully
assess transportation charges on shipments with non-binding estimates on cubic feet, volume,
time (hourly) or on any basis other than weight. Also, the federal regulations require that
shipment weights must be determined on a state certified scale with a copy of the weigh
master’s tickets provided to you in support of the final invoice.
