Shamrock Moving and Storage was founded in 1975 by Bob & Barbara Fallon in San Francisco, CA. After learning his trade at another local mover, along with his wife Barbara, Bob started Shamrock with one truck and a mission: “Take care of the customer and the customer will take care of you.” He and his family have followed this creed since the company’s inception, with great success.

We started with one employee, Bob himself, and one truck. They operated out of a small office in the basement of their house, where Barbara worked while simultaneously taking care of their four children. Bob went out did the moves with 1 helper. We now operate almost 30 vehicles with about 45 employees across 3 locations, and move over 3,000 people a year. There are no aspects of the business that the Fallon family are not involved in, whether it’s our household and commercial moving operations, our vaulted storage which now has over 2500 vaults or our burgeoning receiving and delivery service we provide to a growing number of top designers. We also introduced new self-storage facilities and services which will complement our full-service vaulted storage. We also now deliver to 12 western states.

We are recommend year after year by a large number of real estate professionals from many firms throughout the Bay Area because we always deliver our very best to them and their clients. We always try and listen to our customers’ needs to make sure we can provide every service they need during the moving process, whether it’s taking down and crating a large chandelier, or craning large items out of windows on the 15th floor. In the rare event we can’t help you, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

PACKING – We can come in and pack your whole house or we can take over where you left off. Our crews are experts in packing all types of items from china to art to antique mirrors and chandeliers.
MOVING – We handle all phases of your residential move, from providing free, no obligation in home estimates, to helping you secure parking permits. We will move all your items safely and quickly and we will even pick up your broken down used materials after your move for free. We have been moving households for over 40 years so lean on our experience and we will take care of you.
UNPACKING – We can help you take all the items out of the boxes we packed and place them in their new locations at your new residence where directed. If you are not sure where to put things we can at least get the items out of boxes and out on to table and counter tops for easy viewing and then we will take away all unwanted packing materials for recycling or disposal.

PACKING / PREPPING – We can pack your whole office or just common areas like kitchens, file/supply rooms or conference rooms. We can also come in before your move and prep all your items like disassemble desks, place items on dollies and cart or bin monitors or other items so the moving process goes faster and more efficiently.
MOVING – Our crews can move a 1 person office or a 100+ person headquarters. We offer free, no obligation written in person estimates. We have over 40 years’ experience in the moving industry and can handle all aspects of your commercial move.
UNPACKING – We can unpack the boxes we packed and place the items where directed or on desks or table tops for easier viewing and to help your staff get up and running faster.

SHAMROCK STORAGE OPTIONS
At Shamrock we are pleased to offer two different types of storage to meet all your access, security and convenience needs. Here’s what we can do.

This type of storage is the predominant type of storage that moving and storage companies like Shamrock offer. It means just that, “Full Service”. We will prep, inventory and pick up the items at your home or business, transfer them to one of our facilities in the Bay Area and then pack them into our 5x7x7ft storage vaults (also called Storage containers or Storage Pods by some.) The items are then sealed in their vaults (some of our customers have 1 vault some have 20 vaults) and then they are stacked away in one of our facilities with the other 2500 we currently have.

We also have a large overflow section in all our facilities that gives us safe and secure yet accessible place to store items that don’t fit in our 5x7x7ft vaults. We have over 500 pieces currently in our overflow section, from pianos to couches, large brick ovens, motorcycles, boats, ladders, armoires and many more items. Our facilities are owned by us, very secure and are alarmed and monitored 24/7.
