Safe Harbor Haulers LLC is a professional boat hauling company that operates throughout the United States and Canada. There are no shortcuts taken when shipping as my first priority is to provide you with the best possible boat hauling service available. As the majority of our boat transporting is oversized loads we are constantly inspected and every minute detail scrutinized. The Department of Transportation is very thorough and critical of any safety related system. As such, my company equipment is maintained diligently in a manner that I can only describe as second to none.
Fully Licensed and Insured Boat Hauling
We hold valid Class A drivers licenses, Medical Cards and TWIC Cards for access to ports. DOT#2441588, MC#842307, and KYU#346812, IFTA, UCR, and NYHUT authority. In addition, we procure annual oversize permits in most states. We carry $2,000,000 in general liability, $1,000,000 in commercial truck as well as $1,000,000 in commercial cargo insurance. If required, the cargo limit can be adjusted per boat transport. All clients receive a certificate of insurance directly from my insurance company agent upon booking their boat transport. I then provide a written contract with the exact terms and conditions of the shipment prior to scheduling. Additionally, I will gladly provide any other documentation that you may specifically request.

There are no hidden fees or surprises at delivery as all contracts are exact and “not to exceed”. Your specifications from the quote request form are all we need to calculate your cost. As such, please provide accurate dimensions, weight, pick up, and drop off addresses.

What should I do with my jewelry and other valuable items?
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
How do I prepare my appliances for moving?
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected, and the washer
must have a stabilizer installed. Again, your estimator can help you understand how these
items are properly serviced. All local moving companies have business relationships with
local service providers that handle this type of service, however full service moving
companies and national moving companies will also be able to provide all of the moving
services you require. Be sure you know who your mover will be using, as you will need to let
these people into your home to provide the service.
