WELCOME

I have been associated with the trucking industry for over 40 years. I started driving over the road for other companies in 1975 and bought my first truck in 1981. In 1996 my son, Brandan joined the company and we formed the corporation now known as Midnight Flyer & Co., Inc., and also R.W. Transport, Inc.

Our company is family oriented, and we strive for good customer service. At present we own over 35 tractors and more than 60 dry freight and flatbed trailers. We have equipment available to handle all kinds of freight, vans, flats, LTL, step-deck, expedite, multi-stop lanes, and oversize loads. We have our own shop and mechanics, with after-hours emergency service available.

Our insurance covers 1,000,000 for liability, and 250,000 for cargo. These amounts can also be adjusted as needed to cover specific freight.

We are small enough that each and every customer is important to us, but large enough to meet and exceed all of your transportation needs. We look forward to serving those needs in the future. Thank you for taking the time to consider us for all of your transportation needs.

Q What’s the difference between less than truckload and full truckload?

Less than truckload (LTL) shipping allows multiple shippers to share space on the same
truck while full truckload shipments typically travel on only one truck with one destination.

Q What is an NMFC number?

The National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) allocates a specific number to each product
that could be shipped. That is the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) that pairs to the
freight class best suited for the product. It’s important to include the NMFC number on the bill of
lading to reduce chances of reclassification.
