What We Do
RMT is a Colorado based rail transload and trucking company that assists in the distribution of products throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. RMT is composed of a committed team of professionals dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and striving to be an excellent provider of transportation services.
Our Companies
RMT began in 1994 when Rocky Mountain Transload, Inc. started operating one of the nation’s first frac sand terminals in Lucerne, Colorado. Since then, Rocky Mountain Transload, Inc. has expanded to six Colorado facilities. Rocky Mountain Transload, Inc. operates facilities that connect with both the Union Pacific and BNSF railroads. The company is recognized as a BNSF premier transloader and received the Eagle award from the Denver Transportation Club for service to the organization.
RMT Trucking, Inc. began operations in 2002 to support shipments from the transload sites. The trucking division specializes in dry and liquid bulk shipments. The company provides transportation for numerous large manufacturers and producers. RMT Trucking, Inc. received the Colorado Motor Carriers Association small carrier of the year safety award in 2018 and has earned the Gold Award for accident prevention from Great West Casualty in 2018 and 2019.
Mountain Logistics, LLC, a transportation brokerage division, was added to the RMT profile in 2005. RMT Quality Repair, Inc. was formed in 2020 to provide service and maintenance to the trucking industry.

RMT, Inc. is committed to excellence in loading and unloading raw materials and services to the customer, and strives to be the best in the transportation/rail freight industry. This commitment includes timely customer services, accurate inventory control, best quality product, communication and a safe working environment.
What should I do with my jewelry and other valuable items?
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
How do I prepare my appliances for moving?
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected, and the washer
must have a stabilizer installed. Again, your estimator can help you understand how these
items are properly serviced. All local moving companies have business relationships with
local service providers that handle this type of service, however full service moving
companies and national moving companies will also be able to provide all of the moving
services you require. Be sure you know who your mover will be using, as you will need to let
these people into your home to provide the service.
