Established in 1963, RJ Crowley Moving and Storage has generations of satisfied customers who can testify to our reputation of integrity
and excellent service. Recently purchased by Dragonfly Moving & Storage LLC, new ownership will honor this legacy, proudly upholding the standards set forth by Bob Crowley, as well as making improvements and expanding services to meet the needs of our customers into the future.
Moves in the Greater Plymouth Area
Just because the distance is short doesn’t mean the move is easy. Before you start calling in favors or borrowing pick up trucks, give RJ Crowley a call. Local moves are often more affordable than you think because we don’t have to use valuable billable time driving for hours between locations.
Moves within New Hampshire
You’ll see our trucks all over the state! While the bulk of our moves are in Central New Hampshire, we service the entire state—and beyond. Wherever your current location, RJ Crowley will make the move as simple as possible. And since you are staying in our neck of the woods, we hope you will be so pleased with your experience that you will help us spread the word about our great service.
Partial Moves
Often times folks will save money by moving smaller items themselves but will call on RJ Crowley for help in moving larger furniture, exercise equipment, appliances, woodworking tools, etc. Yes, even pianos! We are happy to help with as much or as little of your move as you like. Don’t risk injury to yourself or damage to your goods or home trying to pinch a penny.
On-Site Moves
If you go that one step further and rent a pod or truck to transport your belongings, you may still require assistance in loading or unloading your goods from your home, business, or storage unit. Call RJ Crowley and we can arrange for two or more men to make quick work of getting your belongings where they need to be.
The same is true if you are simply rearranging your space and need some muscle to move that new armoire to the second floor, the old sofa bed to the basement, or those file cabinets into another office. RJ Crowley makes it easy.
Long Distance Moves
Whether you are moving to the next state, down to the Florida Keys, out to the west coast or half-way around the world, let RJ Crowley use our experience to make your dream come true.
Crating / Palletizing
Packing a $20,000 painting in a $3 dollar cardboard box with packing peanuts is not prudent and we would not recommend it. Lt RJ Crowley crate and/or palletize your high value, odd-shaped or bulky items to give them the protection they deserve while in transit or storage.
Assembly/Disassembly
Holding a crescent wrench while using a hex key to unscrew the bed frame does not sound like fun? No worries, RJ Crowley offers a wide range of assembly/disassembly services. We have the extra hands and the proper tools to get it done. (Certain items like grandfather clocks, pool tables, pianos and other items should be reassembled or serviced by specialists after moving.)
Piano Moves
There are various situations when a piano has to be moved—new home, new room, new owner, donation, or disposal. Whatever the reason, moving a piano goes most smoothly when handled by experienced professionals with the right equipment. Whether a Bechstein upright or a Steinway Baby Grand, calling RJ Crowley is key for your piano move.
Estate Disbursement
Along with the grief of losing a love one comes the overwhelming task of handling their estate, often in a short period of time. Further complicating matters is when items need to be separated for disbursement to various individuals at a later date or shipped to places across the country or around the world. RJ Crowley can aid you in this task, preparing inventories of the various lots and handling pick-up by or shipment to heirs.
All movers are required to prepare an order for service before they transport your shipment.
The order for service provides you with written confirmation of the moving services that you
requested to be performed in conjunction with your shipment. It also lists the agreed upon
dates for the pickup and delivery of your shipment and amount of valuation that you requested,
along with any special services that you ordered.
It also features a place and telephone number where the mover can contact you during the move.
Additionally, the order for service shows the charges that you will be assessed for your
household move or corporate relocation. If you are moving under a non-binding estimate,
the order for service will indicate the amount of the estimated non-binding charges,
the method of payment for the charges and, in cases where the actual charges exceed the
non-binding estimate, the maximum amount that you are required to pay at the time of delivery
in order to obtain possession of your shipment (you will have 30 days following delivery to
pay the balance of the charges due). If you are moving under a binding estimate,
the order for service will show the charges that you will be required to pay at delivery,
based on the binding estimate and the terms of payment. You and your mover must sign the
order for service.
All loose items must be packed in boxes to prevent loss or damage while moving. It is
recommended that you pack all items and leave the drawers empty.
