Our History
Premier Moving & Storage has been in business in Columbia, MO serving Mid-Missouri since 1957, when our business began as Simmons Moving & Storage Co. For business and household moving companies in Columbia, our name says it all – the Premier of all long-distance moving, local moving, and storage services.

Our founder, Fred Simmons, was a University of Missouri football player under Coach Don Faurot, a baseball player for Mizzou, a Big Band Leader, a husband, and father active in his community.

In 1959 Simmons Moving & Storage Co. became an Agent for North American Van Lines, making us the Mid-Missouri representative for over 59 years!
