PAF started out in 1950 as a one man operation servicing the Portland Jetport. In the years since, we’ve been challenged by shifts in the economy that have changed the very nature of our business. We’ve risen to every one of those challenges and have come out a stronger company by holding steadfast to our core values-providing safe, reliable service with a customer focus. Now with just over 100 employees and five terminals in Maine and New Hampshire, we continue to push forward and take new strides in making our customers lives easier. We’ve positioned ourselves as a premier provider of transportation services, to include: volume LTL and short haul truckload within New England, residential and in-state skid delivery, next-day business service to Maine, New Hampshire, and Eastern Massachusetts, and dedicated delivery services. Local Maine Service
Maine comprises an area of over 30,000 square miles, which is nearly as large as the other five New England States combined. With one interstate running North and South that doesn’t even completely go to the end of the state it is as far to drive to JFK airport in New York from Maine’s largest city, Portland, as it is to Madawaska in the northern part of the state. The average winter temperature in Northern Maine is 10 degrees with many a day below zero and an average of over 108” of snow.

Warehousing/Cross Dock Services
PAF offers storage, both long and short term, in our heated 30,000 sq ft warehouse. We have extensive experience handling a variety of freight types, including handling sensitive shipments. We are also available for cross dock and load rework services that can be combined with short term storage if needed. Have an appointment in the Portland area that doesn’t fit your schedule? We’ll unload it, store it, and perform the final delivery.
