Established in 1983
Munden’s Moving & Storage Ltd is a family owned and operated local company which started over 40 years ago. Munden’s started with a small pick-up truck. Through efficiency and hard physical work Munden’s has evolved into one of the best moving companies in Halifax. We have grown into a fleet of six moving vans, we own a state of the art 15,000 square foot warehouse with heated storage. We proudly built our storage facility in 2007 in popular Bayer’s Lake. We now fulfil every moving need from small local jobs to serving our customers nation wide.

Local Move
Household and Commercial

Halagonians have been choosing Munden’s Moving as their local moving experts for local and commercial moves for over 30 years.

Munden’s Moving has won GOLD in The Coast “Best Moving Company” in 2013, 2014 and 2016! We also won silver in 2015. We thank our customers for their continued support!!

A local move is one in which the cost of the move is charged by the hour, depending on the number of movers on the move, plus the cost of extra services such as packing, storage, valuation, fuel, etc. Charges are based from the time we leave our office until the time we return. Upon completion of job payment is due by cash or credit card. Preparation before the move is your key to keeping your moving expenses to a minimum.

Long Distance Moves
Munden’s specializes in long distance moves throughout the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario. We also can provide moving support nation wide as a Van Line agent.

Our unique system of charging by cubic feet (space) rather than (LBS) is very favourable for customers. You are only charged for the space you use on the truck and the distance involved between the two locations.

Munden’s Moving can provide unbeatable transit times. Our delivery time frame is in days rather than weeks. We are very flexible and depending on the size of the shipment we can adapt to the customers timing.

If your moving to the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec or Ontario, our 5 ton straight trucks allows us to provide a unique door to door service. No shuttle fees, middle man or booking agents involved. Munden’s Moving is in total control of your belongings creating a personal relationship with the customers.

At Munden’s Moving and Storage we offer a variety of options to meet your storage needs at very competitive rates. Whether you are looking to store a few items or an entire household we can meet your storage needs. Our 15,000 square foot warehouse is fully alarmed, heated, with monitored security cameras and sprinkler system. We have over 300 individual bins which we use a computerized system to track the location of your bin(s).

Your goods are placed in individual, clean, secure wooden bins. We also have a racking system that holds large items such as sofa’s or other bulky furniture which are protected with shrink wrap to keep them clean and dust free.

Our storage fees are pro rated by the day, we have no deposit and you are charged once a month for your storage. Standard Valuation is included in the price however Enhanced Valuation is based on your declared value.
