Key Management
Matthew Telesca – President and CEO
In May of 2000, Matt founded MGN Logistics, as a traditional truckload brokerage. After two years of research and development, logisticsQuote.com was launched as one of the first online transportation brokerage websites. Customers could easily set up accounts, rate shipments, manage their profile, create shipping documents and track their freight online. After tremendous growth, the site was sold to a private equity group in 2004.
The technology he deployed for online rating was then utilized and applied to brick and mortar operations. In April of 2007, Matt acquired Boston based, D & S Transportation, a freight management firm. With the company continuing to grow, in 2009, a new office in Orlando was established. Heavily reinvesting in unique IT solutions for the transportation space, client growth accelerated and MGN expanded its offices to include Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida and the Dominican Republic.
Matt facilitated continuous MGN Logistics diversification by acquiring Laser Transportation Systems and RAF Logistics. Matt’s leadership of MGN Logistics has led to being recognized by INC. magazine, as one of the fasting growing private companies in the United States and by Inbound Logistics as one of the nation’s top 100 3PL Providers. Matt is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.
David A. Bennett – Executive Vice President
A veteran of both the client and the carrier-side experience, Dave brings a diversified background to his role as Executive Vice President with MGN Logistics. He has worked for regional and national carriers in terminal, regional, and executive roles both in operations and sales. After 12 years on the carrier side, Dave switched to the other side of the desk and spent 6 years as the East Coast Director of Operations for one of the largest wholesale book distributors in the United States. Dave joined RAF Industries in 2004 as Director of Logistics. His primary role was to work with the portfolio of RAF companies in the area of transportation cost management. He also provided knowledge and expertise in the areas of distribution and operations management. Concurrently, Dave developed and founded RAF Logistics which became an industry leading parcel invoice auditing and management company. Dave earned his M.B.A. from Loyola College and his B.S. in Business Logistics from The Pennsylvania State University.
