MBW Office Installation is owned and operated by Barrett Welsh and his wife Cindy. Barrett got his start in the furniture business in 1975 at Dixie Furniture Company. Over the years he has worked with all of the major office furniture and filing systems. MBW operates out of beautiful Savannah, Georgia, allowing us to service all of the South East.

Barrett and Cindy are very family oriented and so is their business. Their daughter Kelli manages the office and serves as Project Manager. After retiring from the chemical plant, Jimmy Welsh joined the team as Warehouse Manager. We also have an office full of puppy dogs. There are 15 full time employees in all. So, we can handle jobs of any size.

At MBW we pride ourselves on the quality of our work. Our installers have all been trained to install systems carefully and with precision, to insure that the investment you have made is protected, and that the aesthetics of your office are preserved with level, safe, and comfortable furniture systems. We know that you need your spaces finished on time so you can move your people in and get down to the business of doing business. We do everything in our power to insure our installations are acomplished on time. We will work with your furniture dealer, contractor, facilities resources, and anyone else involved in the process to insure that orders are complete, spaces are ready for installation, items are received on time, and that we install your systems on time.

Installation

We install all types of office furniture systems, including case goods, cubicles, shelving systems, file systems, and partial walls. Our professional crews will receive and unpack your systems, move them to their proper locations, and construct them as per your blueprints/plans.

Reconfigurations

We handle small jobs, like changing the height of a work surface, or moving a desk from one office to another, as well as large jobs, like changing every cubicle in a large room from private, high walls, to short walled, team-friendly work pods. We can help you identify existing inventory that can be used and whether you will need to order new items. When it is time to reconfigure, we will tear down the old items and rebuild your environment to specifications.

Office Moves

Utilizing our fleet of trucks and our insured team of professionals, we can accomplish office moves of any size. We handle all phases of the moving process including planning, disassembly, transport, and reassembly. We also provide boxes and other packing materials.
Warehousing / Storage

Whether you need short-term storage while a project is staged or long term storage of your excess furniture systems, we provide full-service warehousing facilities. We maintain a large fully staffed warehouse in Savannah, GA where we can receive your items, keep an inventory, and then deliver them as needed for installation or reconfiguration projects. This alleviates the need for our clients to have the receiving personnel or space necessary to store large, bulky furniture systems.

Q How is the cost of my shipment calculated?

If you are moving to a different state, the charges will be based on the weight of your
shipment and mileage—these are referred to as the transportation charges.
There are a variety of different moving charges that can potentially appear on your estimate,
so be sure to ask your relocation specialist to explain each charge for you.
Some additional charges that may appear include packing, crating, valuation or coverage,
bulky article charge (for oversized items), and extra labor. Again, please be certain you
fully understand these charges so that you can accurately compare the estimates you receive.

Q What is an order for service?

All movers are required to prepare an order for service before they transport your shipment.
The order for service provides you with written confirmation of the moving services that you
requested to be performed in conjunction with your shipment. It also lists the agreed upon
dates for the pickup and delivery of your shipment and amount of valuation that you requested,
along with any special services that you ordered.
It also features a place and telephone number where the mover can contact you during the move.

Additionally, the order for service shows the charges that you will be assessed for your
household move or corporate relocation. If you are moving under a non-binding estimate,
the order for service will indicate the amount of the estimated non-binding charges,
the method of payment for the charges and, in cases where the actual charges exceed the
non-binding estimate, the maximum amount that you are required to pay at the time of delivery
in order to obtain possession of your shipment (you will have 30 days following delivery to
pay the balance of the charges due). If you are moving under a binding estimate,
the order for service will show the charges that you will be required to pay at delivery,
based on the binding estimate and the terms of payment. You and your mover must sign the
order for service.
