Marshall Moving Services is a locally-owned and run moving company headquartered in Bay St Louis, Mississippi with a second location in New Orleans, LA.
Owner Marshall Hoffman started MMS in 2016 after spending five years learning from the best- Nick Kolinsky of Nick’s Ice House Moving in Hattiesburg. While getting his Criminal Justice degree at USM, Marshall was also one of “Nick’s Boys”; the last to be trained by Nick himself. It was there that he learned the ins and outs of packing, loading, delivery and logistics from Nick’s son, Buddy. But more than how to run a business, what Marshall took away and applies in his own operation is how to take care of his customers and his employees.

LOCAL MOVES
Moving locally? If you live in or near Bay St Louis, Mississippi and are moving within 30 miles, we consider this a local move. Our local moves are to/from Slidell, LA, Picayune, Kiln, Bay St Louis, Waveland, Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport, and Biloxi.
Our local moves are charged by the hour, and the clock begins when we arrive at your home – not when we leave ours! Please be aware that we do charge $1.50/mile to cover our cost to come to the job and to get back to our office.
We’ll supply the truck, moving equipment including dollies, pads, protective wrapping, and blankets. We have all the tools we’ll need to disassemble your furniture or, if you prefer, you can have it already disassembled and ready to go.
REGIONAL MOVES
Moving out of Mississippi? Or planning on relocating to the Coast from out of state? If so, a regional move might be for you. We consider a move regional if it’s between 30 to 500 miles one-way from Bay St Louis.
Same with our local moves, regional moves only use Marshall Moving Services employees. We won’t sub-out your unloading to another company nor ask someone else to do the driving- we want to make sure that you receive outstanding customer service that we’re confident we can provide.
