Man and Dolly

My Mission is to use all that I’ve learned from my experience as a highly rated Mover, and provide quality resources, as well as being a live resource to help people and businesses to smoothly and effectively move things from Point A to B. I’d like to be a beacon to convey information about the industry so both those moving and their movers can work in unison!

I started Man and Dolly back on December 17th, 2015, with nothing but a bicycle and the bus to get around and no knowledge of how to professionally move someone. I was 25 at the time, and I walked to my first moving job with my 17-year-old brother and an inexpensive dolly from Home Depot. I was referred to the job by another member of the church I attended at the time. I had done some moving for my friends and family, but my professional background was in Sales, Stocking and Warehouse Work, so I had no traditional moving experience. The job went well, but looking back now, I know I had a lot to learn back then! I went from being a one-man-team using rope and no blankets, to having an amazing team of dedicated movers, all well-versed in the best uses of blankets, shrink wrap, tools, heavy-duty dollies, ratchet straps, and more!

I do however, think that my lack of professional, traditional moving was instrumental in my ability to learn so much so quickly. I knew I wanted to run Man and Dolly with honesty, integrity, care, and a never-ending thirst for improvement and growth of the overall moving experience. My knowledge of what is required to grow small business, and my lack of previous work in the Moving Industry allowed me to really listen to what my customers need, and be a solutions-oriented business. Man and Dolly now has a large base of referrals from apartment complexes, realtors, storage unit staff, and our amazing customers who have brought us into their homes to help their families, and blessed us with glowing reviews all across social media outlets.

I am so grateful to everyone that has helped Man and Dolly to grow, and I want to continue to be a solution for more customers in need. I want us to be the expert you need, on jobs both big and small, local, and long distance.
