The Lowe family has been living and working in Southern New England for more than 50 years. Asbury & Marion Lowe moved their family to the Groton, Connecticut area from Brooklyn, New York during 1960’s. Asbury was a submarine builder at Electric Boat. Marion, worked in mental health care for the State of Connecticut. The parents lectured the children on the benefits one receives from hard work and integrity. They taught their children to set goals, look for the opportunities, and deliver on your promises. The six children have been successful athletes, business people, and one member of the law enforcement community.

Tony Lowe, the youngest, started this business with his wife Kim Lafferty Lowe in March of 2003. Kim & Tony moved back to Southern New England from New York City to be close to family. Kim, the president and CEO of the company is from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, a graduate of The University of Rhode Island and American University. Kim worked as an administrator in the not-for-profit world. Tony, was raised in Mystic, Connecticut, graduated from St. Bernard High School and The University of Rhode Island. Tony owned and operated a successful insurance practice with most of his clients residing in New York City.

We started this company with one goal in mind. Give our customers: Great Service, Every Time… Without Exception! We hold on to an “old school” work ethic while utilizing technology to make our service convenient for you. The end result: Time is money. We save you both! With every service we provide, we not only want to exceed your expectation, we want to amaze you. All of our equipment is clean, rust-free, hole-free, and in good working condition. If our customers need help, we can provide labor. We bring same-day service to anyone ordering before 12:00 p.m. You don’t have to be a huge contractor to be treated with respect. We are going to do everything we can to make your experience with us simple and convenient. We invest in employees to bring you friendly service. We invest in equipment, to give you clean dumpsters on your property, and we invest in technology to make the process of renting a dumpster, junk removal, or moving stress-free. We are big enough to complete the big jobs and we are small enough to give you access to the person responsible for the quality of our service.

Q Is it a good idea to get an estimate over the phone or via the Internet?

In all likelihood, you will find that an on-site estimate based on a physical survey
of the items that you plan on moving will be more accurate than an estimate that you
provide to your mover over the telephone or the Internet. So, unless circumstances warrant
(normally due to the time constraints of a short-notice move or because you are only shipping
a few items) think carefully before you elect to waive the required physical survey
of your shipment.

Q Will my estimate be based on the weight of my shipment?

If you are receiving a non-binding estimate, the charges that your mover assesses on your
shipment must be based on the actual weight of the shipment. Your mover may not lawfully
assess transportation charges on shipments with non-binding estimates on cubic feet, volume,
time (hourly) or on any basis other than weight. Also, the federal regulations require that
shipment weights must be determined on a state certified scale with a copy of the weigh
master’s tickets provided to you in support of the final invoice.
