Key Trucking is a family-owned and operated trucking company initially formed in 1987. The owning family has been involved in the trucking / transportation industry since 1920. Customer Service is not just a slogan, but an attitude that permeates everything we do at Key Trucking. There are a lot of transportation options in the market place today for consumers. It is vitally important that each customer is treated with courtesy and respect with every contact, regardless whether it is the first time or thousandth time we’ve transported their freight.
Key Trucking performs a thorough background search on all company drivers that includes but not limited to federal, state, and local criminal history, as well as, social security history and account verification. A full driver record is checked and verified to exceed basic adherence to the industry driving standards.
All of Class-A drivers are required to obtain their CDL endorsement, as well as, their certification. We also have a group of drivers with “Security Clearance” that is utilized for authorized military base access. Key Trucking adheres to all DOT, federal, state, and local government, environment, health and safety regulations and procedures. A documented Security plan is on-file.
Our facility is either occupied or monitored on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis. Our freight and trans-loading areas are swept, kept clean, orderly manner at all times. Key Trucking currently employs dedicated individuals that make up our sales, driver, administrative, and management staff operating our terminal based in Washington. We serve the customers throughout the greater Washington area. Combined with our brokerage division, we have the ability to move customer’s freight across the continental 48 states, Hawaii, and Alaska. Shipping, Receiving and General Operational procedures are established, enforced, and continually evaluated to bring forth positive methodology and practices for the company. We make every effort to ensure that tasks are carried out in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Key Trucking participate as a EPA Smart way carrier and satisfactory rating with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Our Driver and Vehicles continue to improve our CSA ratings.

For open or curtain side loads, we offer 28, 48 and 53 foot Truckload Flatbed service. Our drivers maintain load security with careful attention to straps and chains, and regularly check loads in transit to verify.

We offer 25,000 square feet of secure, climate-controlled warehouse space in Kent ready to meet your access, staging and consolidation needs with competitive pricing. Combined with our trucking services, Key warehousing provides unparalleled flexibility for asset storage and transportation.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
All loose items must be packed in boxes to prevent loss or damage while moving. It is
recommended that you pack all items and leave the drawers empty.
