Founded in 1964, with a crew of drivers, K & B Transport, Inc. (“K & B”) opened its doors delivering saddle mounted truck tractors (piggybacks) as well as, military, postal vehicles to truck dealers, military bases, sea ports, post offices, all across the United States.
Over the years, K & B diversified its transportation business operating several auto terminals for Conrail and CSX Rail Roads, Delivering new Ford and GM vehicles.
For the past thirty-five (35) years, TOWAWAY has become our sole business. It was during the 1980’s, growing its transportation business, K & B opened its first towaway (power only) division.

What do we offer?
K & B Transport, Inc. has a fleet of owner operators specializing in tow-away moves covering all 48 states. We move all types of trailers including the following: New and used trailers, empty and loaded vans, empty and loaded flatbeds, dump and tank trailers, stacks of flatbeds and chassis, containers on chassis, generators and water treatment trailers to name a few.

Do I need LTL or full truckload?
Great question and something our team of experts can help you determine. LTL is typically ideal for
freight shipments larger than parcel or small package, but short of the space required of a
full truckload shipments. However, other factors like distance and value may play into the decision.
What are the differences between FTL Services and LTL Services?
FTL stands for Full Truckload. A shipment that is over 10,000lb or takes up an entire truck by
itself is considered Full Truckload. One of the main characteristic of an FTL Services is that it
will take your shipment on a long haul, making one trip from point A to Point B without transferring
the cargo.
LTL stands for Less Than Truckload. If you have 200 pounds of freight to transport, you’ve got an LTL
shipment. It takes just a section of the truck and the cargo is safely consolidated with other shipments
that may be picked up and distributed in the same area.
