Who We Are
IMTT Has Been an Industry Leader for More Than 80 Years
Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, International-Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT) is an industry leader in the handling and storage of bulk liquid products through its ownership and operation of 19 terminals throughout North America. Our terminals handle petroleum, biofuels, commodity/specialty chemicals, and vegetable/tropical oil products for customers including refiners, commodities traders, and chemical manufacturers and distributers.
IMTT was established by James J. Coleman, Sr. in 1939 with the purchase of the Avondale, Louisiana terminal. Over the following 75 years, the Coleman family expanded the enterprise to become one of the largest 3rd-party providers of bulk liquid storage and handling services in the United States.
