Hi. My name is Nate Becker, and I am the owner of Higher Ground Moving. Born in Portland, Oregon, I have since moved around to many of its surrounding areas including Salem, Woodburn, Turner, Jefferson, Breitenbush Hot Springs, and even the forest. I eventually chose to settle in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Here I assembled my excellent team of central Oregon movers.

For five years, I worked at various companies and explored different ventures (pun intended) before realizing that I wanted to start my own successful business. That’s when I jumped into the moving industry.

As it turns out, starting a moving business is a lot more than you and your buds showing off your muscles when moving a couch from the garage to the living room. Who would have known!?

There is so much that goes into moving others’ cherished possessions, which is why it is a mission of mine to ensure all customers are happy, no damage is done, and that we operate 100% under ODOT’s requirements. Since starting the business, I have learned how to find trustworthy employees, efficiently run a good crew, and earn proper legality.

I recently moved into a beautiful home near Midtown Bend with my wife Rachel and two children, Logan and Zoe. I know exactly how nice it feels to have a good home, and it has become my goal to create that feeling for others by providing a stress-free move into their new life.

Higher Ground Moving is owned and operated by a local family. If you’re lucky you might even get Nate as your crew lead on move day. But if you don’t get Nate, rest assured, you will get one of our other highly qualified professional crew leaders that will be just as enthusiastic to work for you!

This service includes one of our 26′ fully equipped moving trucks and a well-trained, professional moving team. Our movers are happy to disassemble and reassemble any furniture necessary such as beds, desks, and tables*, they will distribute furniture and boxes in appropriate rooms, and assist with placement as well.
We always do our best to accommodate all of your moving needs.

HGM is licensed to move anywhere within the state of Oregon.

We work hard to take the stress off you because we know moving is already stressful enough.

Let us go the distance for you!

We will move your Household or storage from Bend out. Moves over 50 miles are calculated by miles and weight using an ODOT-regulated tariff.

After a thorough in-home estimate we will provide a transparent quote and make sure you know what to expect.

On move day we will show up with one of our 26′ trucks, pads, and other essential equipment, load your belongings and take it back to our shop to be secured overnight.

The next day we leave the shop at 8 AM to arrive in a timely manner at your destination.
Once we arrive, we will unload your items into the rooms you prefer, place furniture if you’d like, and assemble your beds* so you’ll rest well the first night in your new home, collect payment and be on our way.

Senior Moves
Moving can be overwhelming for any one, especially our elderly loved ones. Our crews are highly considerate of their safety and well-being.

We are trained to take a gentler approach in these types of moves. We’ll take exceptional care in handling antiques, family heirlooms, and other fragile items. We will discuss what we are doing before we do it and we will give them plenty of notice and time to say goodbye to their current home if that is what is needed.

We want to make this transition as easy and comfortable as possible and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. We treat your family like our family.

We can assist with item placement, rearranging, and even unpacking if that is a service needed. We service all assisted living and retirement communities with-in the Bend and Redmond area.
