Our Company Beginnings
Established in 1931, Hawaii Transfer Co Ltd can proudly call itself the oldest trucking and warehousing company on Oahu, Hawaii. It is a family owned, closely-held corporation steeped in the tradition and values of its founder, Raymond Okumura. Gordon Okumura, Raymond’s son and company president, continues the tradition of providing service at the very highest level.
Hawaii Transfer Co Ltd has one of the largest trucking fleets in Hawaii, making us true transportation professionals. With a fleet of cartage equipment and over 100 trucks, we are able to accommodate a large variety of needs for our customers anywhere in the state of Hawaii. We serve all of the Hawaiian islands.

Hawaii’s Warehousing Experts

Public warehousing, once an 8,000 sq ft operation in the early 1980s, now totals 100,000 sq feet of storage. This allows us to provide total third-party logistics solutions. Third Party Warehousing
Hawaii Transfer Company is one of the largest third party warehouse companies in Hawaii. No need to worry about fixed cost, since you only pay for the space you are using. Here at Hawaii Transfer Company, we have the capabilities to store dry freight, temperature controlled items and we even have food grade storage and transportation.
Advanced Technology

Statewide Operations
Through a network of partner companies, we are able to provide logistic services to the entire state of Hawaii. Hawaii Transfer Company will handle the logistics to the final destination, making it a worry-free process for all of our customers.
Less than truckload (LTL) shipping allows multiple shippers to share space on the same
truck while full truckload shipments typically travel on only one truck with one destination.
The National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) allocates a specific number to each product
that could be shipped. That is the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) that pairs to the
freight class best suited for the product. It’s important to include the NMFC number on the bill of
lading to reduce chances of reclassification.
