Then known as Amick Transfer, the company began as a cartage company that transported steamer trunks from Union Station to the Brown Palace. However, by 1914, Amick Transfer operated seven trucks, four vans, two flat wagons and owned a large storage warehouse. Employing a large workforce, Arthur H. Amick oversaw one of the most profitable businesses in Denver. He was successful because he believed a satisfied customer was the best advertisement and worked to provide superior transport service in Denver.
