Our Story
As a furniture salesperson, Jake found his customers frustrated with their inability to purchase ‘new’ when they didn’t have a way to get rid of the ‘old’. With furniture removal as a frustration, along with Jake’s frustration about losing sales, Get It Gone was born. Get It Gone was founded in 2004 with an idea of providing both moving & furniture removal services. Jake started out with a pickup truck, a borrowed trailer, and 50 bucks to register our name with the state, Get It Gone was founded. As the business grew, Jake left the furniture sales world for the junk world! Forming strategic partnerships over the years has taken us from New England to SW Florida. Jake’s dream is to make Get It Gone a household name in moving & furniture removal services. We have a phenomenal team and we are building a solid reputation, one satisfied customer at a time!

Our Community Partners
We will be happy to transport any of your donations to the charity of your choice. We charge a modest delivery charge, of course but all donations are made on your behalf when requested. We also have established solid charity partners in a variety of areas.We work closely with Goodwill Industries, Savers, Families in Transition, Friends of Forgotten Children, New Horizons Soup Kitchen as well as local hospitals; Catholic Medical Center, Elliot Hospital and Lawrence General Hospital.We are grateful to have been in the position to donate thousands of pieces of PPE to these hospitals and our neighbors at the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic.We continue to work hard to “find a home” for anything that still has some life left in it and also know that when all options are exhausted, all items are discarded so per local, county and state regulations.

Residential Moving
We offer full service local moving. Our team will move your household items with care and efficiency. Our services can be crafted to meet your needs and help your move to be as stress free as possible. Packing can be the most overwhelming part of moving. Save time and avoid stress by using are packing services. We provide packing services at an hourly rate plus supplies. We work with senior moving managers and Assisted Living Facilities to ensure residents are a safe, easy, and stress-free move.

Commercial Moving
We provide moving, removals & clean-outs to local commercial properties. Let our team of moving professionals handle your next office move providing service you can trust will get the job done right. Are you a Real Estate Agent? Get It Gone can work with you and your clients to get the best price for their property. Removing excess clutter and furniture, staging the remaining furniture displaying the property at its best. Get it Gone offers a wide variety of services to prepare a home to be listed.

Furniture Delivery
If you are buying furniture from a furniture store, consignment gallery, or yard sale, Get It Gone can pick up and deliver to your home. We can even dispose of the old furniture for you!
