I wanted to honor the area I grew up in with our company name. Five Pointe Moving is named after the Grosse Pointes since there are 5 Grosse Pointe cities in Michigan. Professional Moving Services
We have been providing top-rated local moving services for the Greater Metro Detroit area in Southeast Michigan since 2005. We understand how stressful moving can be. From packing to carrying and transporting, our movers will handle your belongings with care, as if they were their own. We offer a variety of services to accommodate the needs of our customers.

Full-Service Moving
Our full-service moving means the crew arrives in a moving truck with all the professional moving equipment that is necessary to keep your belongings safe. We pick-up and deliver all of your belongings in your home. The experienced movers will arrive in a truck with all the necessary equipment to provide maximum safety during your move. They will use thick quilted moving pads to protect your furniture and home during the moving process. The movers can breakdown any furniture items and reassemble at the new home (like headboards, mirrors from dressers, table legs, etc.). They will load all of your home items in the truck and transport it to your new home. When they are unloading at the delivery, they will place everything into place as directed by you. Not happy with that place, let them know and they will relocate the item to another spot that makes you happy.

Partial-Service Moving
Only need us to move some of your stuff? We pick-up and deliver a portion of your belongings in your home or business. This service includes truck and equipment. Some common reasons our customers have requested this service include:

Child going off to college
Parent or other family moving in
Purchases from an estate sale
Divorce
Wanting to save money. Customer does part of the work and has the movers do the rest. If you can handle a little DIY, maybe you want to move all of your boxes and other small items yourself or take care of any items to disassemble.

Packing Service
Our movers are also expert packers. Your belongings will be professionally wrapped and packed into labeled boxes . We offer a full line of packing supplies (additional cost are applied). Our specialist will determine an estimation for the packing supplies needed. The crew will bring everything with them on packing day. You may only want them to handle your precious or difficult items. Maybe prepping for the move is just too overwhelming and you would like some help to ease the stress. We are here for you! You can choose how much you want the packing crew to do. They can unpack all of your boxes and put everything into place at the new home or you can choose to take on this task yourself. We will do as little or as much as you need us to do.

Labor Service
Labor only moving service is used when you only need the workers, not the truck. This service does not need a moving truck, but we will provide the moving equipment (dolly, straps, tools for disassembly, moving pads, etc). Some common reasons for requesting a labor only service is when you need loading or unloading service for a:

Portable storage container

In-Home Moving Service
Our movers will move items within your home as directed by you. This service does not need a moving truck, but we will provide the moving equipment (dolly, straps, tools for disassembly, moving pads, etc). Common reasons for requesting in-home service is usually for reasons such as:

Setting up a room to care for an ill relative
Bringing items from attic or garage
Swapping bedrooms
Moving seasonal items
Clearing a room for new flooring

Specialty Moving Service
