Local Moving
We offer clean, well maintained, fully equipped padded vans manned by well trained, experienced and dedicated men.
After each move our clients receive a brief telephone call from our Move Coordinator who performs a post move evaluation survey. This survey asks you to comment on your level of satisfaction with each phase of our performance. The estimator, the pack crew, the move crew, the office personnel are all evaluated.
Storage
Eldredge and Bourne offers convenient storage for your prized possessions at our Hyannis and Orleans facilities.
We invite and encourage potential storage clients to visit our facility and see for themselves the care and respect with which we treat the belongings entrusted to us.

There is no question that a long distance move places tremendous demands on a family. There is also no question that the team at Eldredge and Bourne and Allied Van lines is unequalled in providing a stress free move.
When is the best time to move?
The busiest times for moving companies are typically during the summer months, May-September.
If you are planning a move during that time you should make arrangements early.
Friday and Saturdays are big moving days so if you have flexibility in your schedule it can
be easier to get a date during the week rather than a weekend.
Will my estimate be based on the weight of my shipment?
If you are receiving a non-binding estimate, the charges that your mover assesses on your
shipment must be based on the actual weight of the shipment. Your mover may not lawfully
assess transportation charges on shipments with non-binding estimates on cubic feet, volume,
time (hourly) or on any basis other than weight. Also, the federal regulations require that
shipment weights must be determined on a state certified scale with a copy of the weigh
master’s tickets provided to you in support of the final invoice.
