SERVING YOUR FREIGHT LOGISTICS NEEDS SINCE 1993
At DVL, we take a very personalized approach to managing your freight requirements throughout North America. Based out of Montreal, we have a very strong presence in:
Domestic highway markets between Ontario and Quebec
Cross border highway markets between all major cities in Canada and major U.S. markets
Domestic U.S. (Intra USA) highway markets connecting continental U.S. states with a particular focus on distances in excess of 500 miles
Cross border transportation currently represents half of our overall activity. For that reason, our team is very knowledgeable in the areas of customs clearance, homeland security, required documentation and the various certifications required to move without delay between Canada and the USA.
WE PROVIDE HIGHWAY TRANSPORT THROUGHOUT CANADA AND THE USA
Regardless of the destination or size of shipment, you can count on the DVL team to deliver best-in-class service day in and day out. We pride ourselves on the relationships we’ve built with our customers and the diligent care we take with each shipment.

Our long history in trucking has allowed us to build a comprehensive partner carrier network. We pay our carriers well and our relationships run deep. That gives us extra power when you need it most. We bring more to the table than any one carrier can and through the effective management of multiple resources, deliver your LTL and Truckload requirements as promised.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected, and the washer
must have a stabilizer installed. Again, your estimator can help you understand how these
items are properly serviced. All local moving companies have business relationships with
local service providers that handle this type of service, however full service moving
companies and national moving companies will also be able to provide all of the moving
services you require. Be sure you know who your mover will be using, as you will need to let
these people into your home to provide the service.
