ABOUT US
Deep South Freight
We haul a wide range of commodities including, paper, plastics, food-grade products, and other NON-HAZMAT freight. Our fleet includes a large pool of late-model trailers and is strategically located throughout the Southeast and Midwest. We are committed to delivering value with every load and strive to be the most dependable carrier in the industry. You don’t have to be the biggest to be the best!
Reasons To Choose Us As Your Trusted Partner
LANE DENSITY
Over 40% of all OTR trucks traveling American highways are partially or completely empty. Our goal is to eliminate dead-head miles and unnecessary sitting by maximizing lane density. This allows us to optimize our fleet and pass the savings on to you.
TRAILER POOL
We have experience creating a trailer pool at both shipping and receiving points. This cyclical process ensures that there are always readily available trailers to be loaded, making the entire shipping process more convenient and further streamlining the supply chain.
SERVICE AREAS
We are a Regional Dry Van Carrier based in Birmingham, Alabama. Our primary service areas are throughout the southeast and midwest. Specifically AL, MS, LA, TX, AR, TN, GA, FL, NC, SC, IL, and KY.
COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Our updated fleet with the newest equipment and technology embodies our commitment to safety. We understand the importance of safety and make it a priority to measure and track our efforts and strive to be one of the safest fleets on the highway.
Less than truckload (LTL) shipping allows multiple shippers to share space on the same
truck while full truckload shipments typically travel on only one truck with one destination.
The National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) allocates a specific number to each product
that could be shipped. That is the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) that pairs to the
freight class best suited for the product. It’s important to include the NMFC number on the bill of
lading to reduce chances of reclassification.
