Our Family Moving Yours
Daley Moving has been family owned and operated since the 1930’s. By treating each customer relocation as if it were our own, we’ve built a solid reputation that’s lasted 80 years.

Decades of Experience
Along with its decades of experience, Daley Moving and Storage has a long history of providing outstanding relocation services to the residential and commercial sectors.

Specializing in moves to Florida, we pride ourselves on our kid-glove treatment of valuable antiques.

You’re Not Just a Number to Us
By paying close attention to the needs of each individual customer and fulfilling them, when relocating a piano, an antique cabinet, a home or an office, we build lasting relationships with our customers. At Daley Moving, our customers are known by name, not by a number.

A History of Caring
for Family and Clients
In 1970, John Daley, the owner of Daley Moving and Storage, was looking to retire and pass his longtime business to someone he trusted – some one that he knew would care for his clients the way the he had for so many years.

John turned to his colleague and friend, Tony Mariano who had worked in the family moving business, Mariano Brothers of Danbury for most of his life. After much consideration, Tony agreed and he and his wife, Margie, successfully ran and grew the business for years specializing in relocations between Connecticut and Florida.

Storage
Our 20,000 plus square feet of storage space can offer peace of mind to our customers that while you must be separated from your precious belongings no matter what the reason they will be returned to you in the same condition.

Each item is individually padded and protected. Over-sized items like couches and recliners are shrink-wrapped for protection and put on specially designed racks for the best storing option.

We provide vaulted storage for our customers. Your items will be placed into a 7x7x5 250 cubic feet vault (This holds about a room and half worth of furniture).

Larger items like pool tables, safes, exam tables, ladders are placed on racks of their own. Each item coming into storage is inventoried and checked off as it comes into storage and when it is returned to the homeowner.

Local Moving
Our goal is to make your move as stress free as possible! Our men are professionally trained and their goal is to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Their helpful attitudes and years of experience in the moving industry make them capable of accommodating your every need.

Long Distance Moving
Our Company provides a unique long distance moving service. The driver who comes to your home to pick up your household goods will be the same person who delivers your shipment. He will be an employee of our company. Each item put into our care, custody, and control will be inventoried and have a sticker assigned to it which will be checked off upon delivery.

International Moving
We can provide service to anywhere overseas wherever your destination may be. Our company will pack your items into a waterproof container, and deliver the container to the dock. All arrangements will be made prior to departure for pick up on the destination end. We will have a qualified mover retrieve your belongings and deliver then to your new home.

Commercial Moving
We move offices, banks, and school campuses regularly. Our method of labeling and working with the blueprints of the facility make the transition for the company and its employees seamless. We provide free move committee meetings with your staff to help prepare for the move.

Piano Moving
We specialize in piano moving.

We have moved pianos from the 2nd and third floors with a forklift and flatbed, and have actually had one of Liberace’s pianos in our storage facility for several years.

Q How is the cost of my shipment calculated?

If you are moving to a different state, the charges will be based on the weight of your
shipment and mileage—these are referred to as the transportation charges.
There are a variety of different moving charges that can potentially appear on your estimate,
so be sure to ask your relocation specialist to explain each charge for you.
Some additional charges that may appear include packing, crating, valuation or coverage,
bulky article charge (for oversized items), and extra labor. Again, please be certain you
fully understand these charges so that you can accurately compare the estimates you receive.

Q What is an order for service?

All movers are required to prepare an order for service before they transport your shipment.
The order for service provides you with written confirmation of the moving services that you
requested to be performed in conjunction with your shipment. It also lists the agreed upon
dates for the pickup and delivery of your shipment and amount of valuation that you requested,
along with any special services that you ordered.
It also features a place and telephone number where the mover can contact you during the move.

Additionally, the order for service shows the charges that you will be assessed for your
household move or corporate relocation. If you are moving under a non-binding estimate,
the order for service will indicate the amount of the estimated non-binding charges,
the method of payment for the charges and, in cases where the actual charges exceed the
non-binding estimate, the maximum amount that you are required to pay at the time of delivery
in order to obtain possession of your shipment (you will have 30 days following delivery to
pay the balance of the charges due). If you are moving under a binding estimate,
the order for service will show the charges that you will be required to pay at delivery,
based on the binding estimate and the terms of payment. You and your mover must sign the
order for service.
