Cowboy Moving & Storage supports Freedom Service Dogs.
Freedom Service Dogs is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom training them for individual client needs. Clients include children, veterans and active duty military, and other adults. Their disabilities include autism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In 2008 Mike and Sheri Gail Folsom made the decision to start giving a portion of every move to an organization that would protect and help animals. In 2010, they found Freedom Service Dogs literally around the block from their Englewood, Colorado location and they reached out to learn more about the non-profit organization. They liked what they saw and Freedom Service Dogs became the group that their donations went to.
Cowboy Moving & Storage is an ongoing corporate sponsor in excess of $50,000+ in monetary contributions towards the training of service dogs.
The dogs used in the Freedom Service Dogs program come from shelters and rescue groups. The dogs are trained to help people with mobility impairment must overcome challenges of life’s simplest tasks. The act of picking up dropped keys, a pen, or opening a door and turning on a light, or getting the remote control can be a difficult task for someone with a mobility impairment. Freedom Service dogs can even be trained to provide balance to assist with transferring to and from a wheelchair. At any given point there are upwards of 50+ people on their wait list
for a service dog.
Freedom Service Dogs is nonprofit funded by charitable giving. The group does not charge clients for the services they provide and they provide lifetime support for each service dog.
Please consider joining Mike and Sheri Gail Folsom in supporting this wonderful organization that not only enhances the lives of the disabled, but through their programs provide humane education, disabilities awareness, character development for at-risk youth, and rehabilitation therapy. And beyond all of that, Freedom Service Dogs is rescuing dogs from all over the country and giving them a new life, a new purpose and basically saving unwanted dogs from shelters and giving them a second chance.

Shipping & Receiving – At Cowboy Moving & Storage we also provide ‘receiving services’ and ‘storage’ for larger items that our commercial and residential clients have ordered either locally or from out-of-state.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected, and the washer
must have a stabilizer installed. Again, your estimator can help you understand how these
items are properly serviced. All local moving companies have business relationships with
local service providers that handle this type of service, however full service moving
companies and national moving companies will also be able to provide all of the moving
services you require. Be sure you know who your mover will be using, as you will need to let
these people into your home to provide the service.
