ABOUT
Cedarpoint Trucking was incorporated in 1980 by Craig Leatham and Mark Jensen. They built the business through hard work, integrity, and exceeding their customer’s expectations. Still based in Rexburg, Idaho, Cedarpoint has grown into a fleet of nearly sixty trucks serving the lower forty-eight states and Canada.
In 2013, Craig and Mark sold the business to Bron Leatham, one of Craig’s sons. In 2014, Heath Leatham (Craig’s oldest son) and Tim Jensen (one of Mark’s sons) also joined Cedarpoint as our dispatch manager and fleet manager respectively.
Established in 1980 with its headquarters in Rexburg, Idaho, our experienced and proficient organization provides an exceptional level of transportation services for our customers.
We have several drivers who have been with us for nearly twenty years and owner-operators who have been with us up to thirty years, and our office staff longevity ranges from eight to twenty years.
The National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA) allocates a specific number to each product
that could be shipped. That is the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) that pairs to the
freight class best suited for the product. It’s important to include the NMFC number on the bill of
lading to reduce chances of reclassification.
When shipping goods, it’s always important to minimize movement. Pack crates or boxes as full
as possible, with heavier items on the bottom. If the crate is not filled, use packing material
to plug the empty spaces.
