Capitol Express, Inc. and Capitol Warehousing, Inc. were founded in 1982 with the goal to become a first class one-stop comprehensive transportation provider for manufacturers, shippers, freight forwarders and freight brokers for all their warehouse and trucking needs.

We were recently acquired by The Kane Group in August 2021. The Kane Group is 100% owned by Richard Kane. Richard is the former owner of International Limousine based in Washington, DC where he successfully exited in May 2019.

Since 1918, the Kane Family has been actively involved in trucking, logistics, office moving, limousine/bus services, commercial real estate and interior commercial construction. With Richard’s desire to return to the trucking industry, The Kane Group has acquired both the Capitol Express and Warehousing companies from its founder.

Trucking & Transportation Services
Capitol Express & Warehousing is a full service trucking company specializing in LTL and TL deliveries. Our diverse equipment allows us to deliver your freight the right way and on time. Our equipment ranges from small delivery vans to straight trucks with high capacity liftgates to 53′ tractor trailers.
We offer a wide range of trucking services.

LTL Service – Our less than truckload service is what got us started. Since 1983 we have been delivering freight throughout the Mid Atlantic area. Our drivers know this area well and most of our drivers run the same routes every day allowing them to know the area better than drivers from other companies.
Truckload Service – Whether you need to get freight into our warehouse or have us deliver it to your customer, our truckload service can get it there safely and on time.
Specialized Equipment – From small delivery trucks, to straight trucks, to 53′ tractor trailers, we have the right size truck to handle your shipments. Liftgate service is available.
Pool Distribution & Consolidation – Consolidate your shipments in our warehouse and have us deliver them to your customers or drop your truckload in our yard and have us make the delivery.
Time Specific Delivery – Whether it’s an early AM delivery, a just in time delivery, or an appointment delivery, we can get it there on time.
Federal Government Clearance – Capitol has been delivering freight into Washington DC since we started. We are familiar with all the procedures for all types of Government deliveries. We have all the security measures covered so your shipments into DC won’t be delayed.
Digital Communications – All of our Drivers carry the latest digital communications devices. This allows us to know where our drivers are at all times. Our personal digital communications system can handle phone calls, walkie-talkie, email, text messaging, and GPS locating.

Our warehouses in Jessup Maryland allow us to service all of our customers needs, whether the freight comes in by land, rail, or sea. Our close proximity to the major highways means we’re easy to find. We have a close working relationship with many port carriers so your containers won’t get stuck at the port.
