Blue Water Trucking is a freight transportation provider in Romeo, Michigan. We also haul non-potable bulk water across Michigan and haul freight in the United States, predominantly in the Midwest.
Pat Rinke, founder of Blue Water Trucking, began delivering water for swimming pools in 1977. Throughout the years, Pat expanded his services by hauling steel, grain and Christmas Trees, thus facilitating the growth of Blue Water Trucking.
In 1990, Blue Water Trucking began a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Ford Motor Company. Blue Water Trucking hauls general commodity as well as Automotive Freight for GM, Chrysler, and Tier I and Tier II suppliers. Blue Water Trucking now boasts over 190 tractors and 390 trailers.
Pat Rinke, always passionate about quality, required the highest level of skill and professionalism from his employees. This includes drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, safety operators, and office personnel.
Pat’s son, Nick Rinke, was held to the same high standard and climbed the ladder at Blue Water Trucking from driver, to dispatcher, to logistics coordinator. Nick assumed more and more responsibility and upon his father’s retirement, became the sole owner of Blue Water Trucking, continuing Pat’s legacy of high standards and integrity.
A Committed Team Makes an Exceptional Trucking Company
Nick believes that much of Blue Water Trucking’s success is a result of the hard work from its staff and management team, who strive every day to make Blue Water Trucking an ideal company to work for and work with.

Each tanker is equipped with a 300 foot hose and we can provide a quote if you need additional length. FTL stands for Full Truckload. A shipment that is over 10,000lb or takes up an entire truck by
itself is considered Full Truckload. One of the main characteristic of an FTL Services is that it
will take your shipment on a long haul, making one trip from point A to Point B without transferring
the cargo.
LTL stands for Less Than Truckload. If you have 200 pounds of freight to transport, you’ve got an LTL
shipment. It takes just a section of the truck and the cargo is safely consolidated with other shipments
that may be picked up and distributed in the same area.
Adjustments can be costly, but can mostly be avoided with accurate information.
Common adjustments occur around oversized items (more than 12 feet in length), lift-gates,
limited delivery access, residential fees, reclassifications and changes to the bill of lading.
