Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage first opened for business in 1924 on the now-famous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. Back then, Hollywood was just getting on its way, and Southern California was still a bit of a frontier. Our first moving truck was built by a local blacksmith. Our first warehouse was a converted dairy farm. In 1935, when we built our home office on Beverly Drive, the world was such that at six stories in height, it was the tallest concrete block building in the nation.
A lot has changed since then. The fledgling company that moved the silent film stars into their mansions has blossomed into an award-winning and industry-leading corporation known for its extensive variety of services, its professional and highly-skilled employes, and its large and powerful fleet.
But one thing has not changed: our commitment to providing the highest level of customer service in the industry. We stand on the shoulders of a long and proud history, but we’re looking forward to an even brighter future.
Local, Intra- and Interstate Moving
We’ve moved four generations of Americans dating back to the time when Coolidge was president. For over 90 years, we’ve practiced turning moving into an art form. And it’s a good thing, because whether it’s an old chair or a priceless antique, it’s yours. Our job is to get it from here to there quickly, safely, and economically.
Personal Move Consultant and Coordinator
No two moves are the same, so we employ the industry’s finest Move Consultants and Coordinators to oversee every step of every move. From estimate to empty truck, your Move Consultant and Coordinator will work in tandem to take the headache out of moving.
Office and Industrial Moves
At Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage, we’re experts at the relocation, installation and storage requirements for offices and industrial businesses. Our years of experience have enabled us to develop efficient move methods to meet every need.
Project Management and Planning
The first objective in a successful move is to address the key planning and budget issues that will determine the individual trajectory of your move. We like to eliminate all uncertainties before the move begins. We can help to coordinate pre-move orientation sessions for your employees, space planning, furniture placement, office reassignments, and any scheduling concerns. We design color-coded and numerical organization systems to coordinate the flow of goods. Our seasoned Moving Consultants are expert planners, and once they are assigned to you, they work tirelessly to ensure the flawless execution of your move.
Household Goods Storage
At Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage, we know that your belongings are very important to you. Sometimes you need a place to store them safely and securely. That’s why we’ve developed industry-leading storage solutions to serve your individual needs. We treat your belongings like they are our own.
Temporary or Permanent Storage
Perhaps moving into your new home immediately is not possible. For cases like these, we offer temporary storage, enabling you to secure your goods while you continue house hunting or focusing on your relocation to-do list.
Perhaps moving into your new home means you don’t have the same size space or you have less on-site storage. For instance, you may have seasonal items like sporting equipment, patio furniture, or holiday decorations that you’d like to store professionally. We can provide long-term storage solutions for you, giving you the extra room your family needs.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected, and the washer
must have a stabilizer installed. Again, your estimator can help you understand how these
items are properly serviced. All local moving companies have business relationships with
local service providers that handle this type of service, however full service moving
companies and national moving companies will also be able to provide all of the moving
services you require. Be sure you know who your mover will be using, as you will need to let
these people into your home to provide the service.
