BDS is a proudly owned family business based in Camrose, Alberta. We have offered hauling, rough terrain picker and crane services, rentals, yard storage and many other services for over 35 years! We have worked in the Oil & Gas industry and diversified our offerings and increased our equipment and staff over the years. Few trucking companies can claim they started with just one man and a truck, but BDS can. The company was born in 1978 as B&D Simons Trucking (now known as BDS) when Bill Simons started from the ground-up with a single highway tractor. Now, over 40 years later, BDS continues to specialize in the oil and gas sector and has grown its service offerings with a more diversified, specialized fleet.

BDS has over 50 acres of secured land located in Camrose. If you’re in need of warehousing and Camrose storage space with a variety of storage options for equipment, materials, and workspace, BDS should be your choice.

Heated Storage – For customers that need their product to stay heated during the harsh winters, BDS offers in house heated storage.
Pipe Racks – BDS can dedicate over 40 acres of land to store pipe of all different lengths and diameters (coated or bare). Never lose a joint of pipe as BDS will tally and inventory your product. After handling pipe for over 30 years, let us help protect and store your product.
Work Space – Are you needing land to set up mobile offices, project camps, or simply space to complete work in Camrose? We have the room to accommodate your crew and keep your equipment secure.

Heavy Haul
BDS will assist with moving everything from legal loads to 60 wheel combinations. Our experts will meet your needs by selecting the right transportation for your inventory of equipment or product. We will take care of the permitting and routing getting your product to its destination the most cost efficient way. We can also provide services to load and offload these heavy or over dimensional loads with our winch tractors, bed trucks, rough terrain pickers or even our 250 Ton crane services.

Logistics
BDS will handle all the logistics required for your hauling project. Our team will provide detailed and organized coordination of your project, from start to finish. If you’re looking for a logistics coordinator to handle every aspect of your project, look no further than BDS.

Tank Cradles
Our specialty tank cradle trailers can move barrel tanks from (size to size). The hydraulic arms on the cradles allow our drivers to load the tanks safely and efficiently, setting it into place wherever you need it.

Pipe Hauling and Stringing
The BDS team is accustomed to travelling on ROW and down call roads to deliver oilfield equipment and material. Our fleet and inventory of pipe bunks is designed to haul any length and diameter of pipe needed for that Right-Of-Way. With our tracking systems, we will be able to ensure that the pipe loads you requested for the pipeline are on time and ready to be offloaded maintaining steady production.

Hot Shot
Need something moved quickly? Our fleet of pick-ups ranging from half-tons to 1-tons, the wide variety of utility trailers (goose-neck, beaver-tailed, car-haulers, enclosed) single to tridem axle, and our 24/7 dispatch can get your freight to its destination on time. Is it too big for a utility trailer? No problem, our heavy fleet is dispatched 24/7 as well.

Cross Border Transportation
Having problems shipping into the United States? No problem. Our team of experts will be able to assist you in setting up brokerage and logistic solutions to take your freight (legal or over dimensional) across the Canada and United States border. Our bonded drivers and prorated fleet are established to perform all the services we provide here in Canada, down in the United States.

250 Ton Demag Terex
This 250 Ton crane allows us to execute some of the toughest tasks handed to us.

The Demag’s hallmark is its versatility: durable enough to handle off-road terrain, but able to travel independently at highway speeds on public roads. With 230 ft of stick and the ability to lift over 200,000 lbs, there is not much that this Explorer cannot lift and set into place.

Picker Truck
BDS has a wide range of light weight, truck mounted picker units that are ideal for flexibility and mobility. We offer picker truck services from 110 Ton to 8 Ton. Each unit is designed to pull a trailer providing significant extra utility, reducing the cost of securing transportation in addition to crane services. These high-power picker units are equipped with all the rigging necessary for any job, spreader bars from 6’ to 50’ and man baskets to lift product and personnel into place to complete any job or task. With our fleet diversity, we can guarantee any job gets done the most efficient and cost effective way.

Spyder Crane
Our versatile Spyder crane is ideal for working inside buildings. With the ability to collapse down small enough to fit through doors and then expand its outriggers for maximum stability, this Spyder crane has a lifting capacity of 6,450 lbs with a boom length of 27 feet. This versatile crane is perfect for lifting beams, rafters, furnace units and much more into place for employees to install or work.
