Arcadia Movers was founded back in 2007 when friends Alex and Mike left their jobs at a major moving company to form a partnership. Their new business was built on their passion for providing excellent customer service as well as their extensive knowledge of the moving industry. Having gained the respect of numerous customers in the local area, their business soon grew into a 50-strong team with a fleet of 14 vehicles.

Otherwise, we ask that you are fully packed, wrapped, and prepared on the day of your move so we can head out!

We recommend that you pack minor items yourself (books, toys etc) and give away any unwanted possessions prior to moving. Pack fragile items with care using lots of padding. Long-distance move packages are charged at a fair flat rate, with not-to-exceed terms, and are based on a visual estimate. Visual inspections are free for homes with more than 3 bedrooms.

Long-distance moves do require careful planning and meticulous wrapping of items to withstand lengthy journeys. So we ensure that our drivers are competent and commercially licensed, and that our packers and moving crews are fully-trained in their line of work. Our trucks are clean and modern and feature high-performance air suspension to combat vibrations which could cause damage to your belongings. They’re also spacious enough to accommodate all your possessions and furniture and our crews know how to load them to best utilize every inch of space.

Office moves

In the case of smaller offices (less than 14 workers), we charge an hourly rate which covers floor protection, wrapping materials, and commercial bins. With larger premises (4,000 sq. ft or more) we will schedule a visual estimate to get an idea of the equipment needed, and will then supply you with a not-to-exceed quote.

If you have special requirements, we can still help. We can perform your move out of regular business hours and can provide packing services for a fee. We can assist with setting up your new retail premises and can help unload LTL deliveries. Plus, we can reconfigure your warehouse fixtures and machinery.
