Amistad Freight, Inc. was founded in January of 1999 by two brothers Mark and Justin van Loben Sels.
Mark and Justin were raised working on their family farms and ranches and driving trucks from the family farm fields of the California Delta to the canneries, packing sheds and coolers of the California Central Valley. It was here both brothers learned the value of hard work, personal responsibility, honesty and integrity. It is these same guiding principles that are driving the company today.
Founded in 1893, their family farm is still in operation today and is being operated by 4th, 5th and 6th generation family members while Mark and Justin focus on the transportation operations. Amistad Freight is truly a family business.
