When Robert Quinn first started his moving business almost 60 years ago his only goal was to supplement his income. He didn’t foresee that all these years later his entire family would be carrying the moving business into the next generation as a lauded New Jersey moving company. But that’s exactly what happened. Over 20 years ago, Robert’s son, Mark Quinn, founded All Jersey Moving & Storage with a simple mission: To be the New Jersey moving company that provides quality service at an affordable price. FINE ART MOVING

All items in your home are not created equal. Too many movers think that everything can be placed in boxes, or wrapped with a little bubble wrap, and placed on a truck. All Jersey Moving & Storage understands the intricacies of moving fine art and makes sure that it’s protected from the time it’s removed from one wall until it’s hung on a new wall.
Depending on the type of artwork, there are different risk factors involved including vibration, shock, humidity, and temperature, at both ends as well as in transit.
All Jersey Moving & Storage has decades of experience handling all types of fine art in people’s homes and offices, whether they’re protected by glass, made of porcelain or other fragile materials, or oil paintings that need to breathe. We have a reputation as a trustworthy and respected moving company amongst fine art owners and dealers.
Whether you have one piece or a collection, we are ready to help. If you want to pack fine art yourself, we offer guidance, but in many instances crating or special materials are needed, so many turn to professionals. If we’ll be moving it, notify our certified moving consultant during the estimate so we can make arrangements to have it packed properly.
All movers are required to prepare an order for service before they transport your shipment.
The order for service provides you with written confirmation of the moving services that you
requested to be performed in conjunction with your shipment. It also lists the agreed upon
dates for the pickup and delivery of your shipment and amount of valuation that you requested,
along with any special services that you ordered.
It also features a place and telephone number where the mover can contact you during the move.
Additionally, the order for service shows the charges that you will be assessed for your
household move or corporate relocation. If you are moving under a non-binding estimate,
the order for service will indicate the amount of the estimated non-binding charges,
the method of payment for the charges and, in cases where the actual charges exceed the
non-binding estimate, the maximum amount that you are required to pay at the time of delivery
in order to obtain possession of your shipment (you will have 30 days following delivery to
pay the balance of the charges due). If you are moving under a binding estimate,
the order for service will show the charges that you will be required to pay at delivery,
based on the binding estimate and the terms of payment. You and your mover must sign the
order for service.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
