In 1978, Paul and Judy Dreiske, started Dreiske Moving & Storage with a single moving truck in McHenry, Illinois. Paul had a vision for this company to become the local preferred choice for movers in the Chicagoland area, with a foundation based on providing the best service with excellence and integrity.

As a family owned and operated business, Paul and Judy’s son, Mike Dreiske, oversees our extensive fleet of moving trucks and employees as the CEO of Dreiske Moving & Storage. Under Mike’s direction, we’ve grown from a local household name to a moving company that operates all across the nation that also gives back to the community. When we aren’t moving families and businesses around the U.S., you can find our trucks and crew members volunteering with local non-profit organizations like the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism.

We know that sometimes you’re ready to move, but your belongings aren’t. Because of that we offer a variety of different storage options. Whether you need storage at one of our locations long term or short term, overnight storage, or storage right in your own driveway, we have a solution for you.

We offer Vault Storage within our warehouse for short and long term storage. With Vault Storage our movers will load and move your goods to our warehouse using vaults that we bring to your home or office. Once at the warehouse, all of your goods are stored into vaults that are then shelved inside our warehouse for the duration of your needs. When you’re ready for delivery, we unload your goods into the spaces of your choosing.

We understand that many moves have special needs and requirements so we train our staff to handle anything and everything from carefully moving bulky items like pianos, pool tables, and hot tubs to being flexible in our schedule to exceed all of our clients’ expectations. In addition to our traditional residential and commercial moving services, we offer a range of other moving services, including O&I. With our highly trained professional crew members and specialized equipment, even the most unique moves aren’t an issue for us!
