A-C Motor Express

Our company was founded in 1933 when gas station owner Christy George Nekitopoulos began to make local deliveries for out-of-area truck drivers who stopped for service. Christy started by strapping freight to the roof of his car and making deliveries himself, but was soon able to acquire a truck and hire a driver. Christy’s motto, “through service we grow” has matured the company from humble beginnings into an industry leader in temperature-controlled freight transportation. Today, our fleet consists of more than 50 tractors and straight trucks and 60 refrigerated trailers operating throughout New England and eastern New York.

Keeping with tradition, A-C Motor Express continues to strive for excellence and is now a third-generation, family-owned company. Our staff now consists of more than 70 employees, and we take great pride in their combined knowledge, experience, and dedication.

Services

A-C Motor Express specializes in transporting all types of temperature-controlled and expedited shipments. Our fleet of company-owned vehicles, experienced drivers, logistic experts, and support staff combined with our 76 years in the freight handling business gives us the experience and know-how to expertly handle your time and/or temperature-sensitive cargo.

We can work with you to provide a freight handling solution that ensures your product gets where it needs to be on time and intact.

Less than Truckload (LTL)

A-C Motor Express has extensive daily scheduled LTL routes throughout the New England area. We can conveniently arrange to pick up your shipments on a regular or limited-time basis.

Truckload

Large shipment? We can dedicate a vehicle for a single point pick up and delivery. We can even reload at your delivery point or other location and make the return trip back to you.

Consolidation

We simplify freight handling for our customers by consolidating many small loads into one dedicated delivery. Consolidated loads save you time and money
while eliminating the headaches associated with managing multiple deliveries.

Distribution

If you are shipping to multiple destinations, or are an out-of-area carrier that lacks delivery resources in the northeast, A-C Motor Express can provide you with a delivery solution. We can pick up large shipments from your site or receive loads dropped off at our terminal. Once the product arrives at our dock, our staff will divide and load it onto the appropriate outbound trucks for quick delivery.

Receiving

We can accept deliveries on your behalf for delivery by us, or be held for pick up. Our receiving hours are 12 AM to 4 PM Mon – Fri; after hours by appointment.

Temperature Control

Handling perishable commodities is our specialty. A-C Motor Express has the experience and the equipment to make sure your temperature-sensitive product arrives on time and intact.

Expedited Service

Next-day delivery is our standard of service. However, within our area of regular daily service, A-C Motor Express can arrange, on short notice, to pick up and deliver your product the same day.
