Moore & Son Moving Company was established in Pearland, Texas, by John & Judy Moore Sr., and John Moore Jr. in 1990.
My father had been self-employed all his life and the one thing that followed him from business venture to business venture was the value he put into providing quality service.
He believed a man and his business should stand by their word and provide the same quality service and care for a total stranger’s goods just as he would provide for his grandmother’s. Our company was built on that “old school” way of thinking.
After he passed in 2000, I wanted to continue our business in the same manner in which he intended.
My son is now joining in the business with me just as I did with my father.
Together we will continue to strive to provide the genuine family atmosphere that made our company what it is today.
HOUSEHOLD MOVES
For local moves, we charge an affordable hourly rate for our local moving services plus an appropriate travel time/trip charge to complete your moving job.

Do I need to be home during the move?
On the day of the move you need to be present. There is paperwork to sign and you need to
show the movers exactly what is being moved. After the movers have loaded the truck you will
be ask to do a walk through. That is the time to point out anything that may have been missed
once the truck drives away they are done.
At the unload they will place boxes in rooms based on the rooms written on the boxes
(ie., bedroom, kitchen, garage). Furniture will be placed in the location you specify.
It is helpful if you already have a basic idea where you want furniture placed.
If the movers have to keep rearranging and switching furniture around it will take longer
and you are paying hourly.
What do I do with my animals?
You want to make sure animals are in their cat/dog carrier prior to the movers arriving.
Animals are curious and can get underfoot. If your dog isn’t good around strangers please
have them tied up or in their carrier. The moving company cannot transport any live animal
no dogs, cats, fish or reptiles are allowed in the truck.
