Seniors have lived in their home for a lifetime. They’ve raised families and are surrounded by special memories, precious heirlooms, and family history. Suddenly the home they once loved is now overwhelming with responsibilities and difficult to live in. When a decision is made for a senior to relocate to a smaller home that’s right for them, seniors need assistance and lots of it. It is an experience unlike any other in your life. It is about letting go of things and memories.
Smooth Mooove Senior Relocation Services was born from the owners’ first-hand experience while moving her mom. She quickly discovered that seniors move differently, they downsize. It’s a time when tough decisions must be made about a lifetime of possessions.
Residential
If you feel a bit anxious about your move, you’re not alone. According to the American Moving and Storage Association, more than 2.7 million individuals and families move each year.
One size does not fit all You might be tempted to select one of the huge movers. The larger movers might have more recognizable names, but service, respect, caring, pride and attention to detail flourish in small companies like Smooth Mooove. We can do everything the conglomerate movers can do without the levels of bureaucracy.
Commercial
“Courteous, reliable, professional, and friendly.”
“They went the extra mile.”
“Quick and efficient.”
These are just a few of the comments our commercial clients have used to describe the Smooth Mooove team. We understand that moving your business is a challenging and stressful experience. Our clients find us flexible and expeditious when contingencies arrive. Our extensive knowledge and experience will provide you with solutions to complete your relocation on time and on budget.
In all likelihood, you will find that an on-site estimate based on a physical survey
of the items that you plan on moving will be more accurate than an estimate that you
provide to your mover over the telephone or the Internet. So, unless circumstances warrant
(normally due to the time constraints of a short-notice move or because you are only shipping
a few items) think carefully before you elect to waive the required physical survey
of your shipment.
If you are receiving a non-binding estimate, the charges that your mover assesses on your
shipment must be based on the actual weight of the shipment. Your mover may not lawfully
assess transportation charges on shipments with non-binding estimates on cubic feet, volume,
time (hourly) or on any basis other than weight. Also, the federal regulations require that
shipment weights must be determined on a state certified scale with a copy of the weigh
master’s tickets provided to you in support of the final invoice.
