INTERCONTINENTAL VAN LINES, INC., was incorporated in 1991, and had previously been an operating division of a large Canadian Shipping company since 1984. Intercontinental Head Office, for Canada is located in Markham, Ontario a suburb or Toronto, Canada”s largest City ! The company founder Tim Garside, is a long time veteran of the moving & transport Industry, having previously worked for Steamship, Forwarding and International Moving companies in Far East, Europe, and North America. The companies mission statement, established at the outset, was simple, “Service, Service, Service”. Garside believed, and still believes, if you are paying for goods or services you should get great value for your money and a commitment from Intercontinental to provide the finest service available. This remains our motto to this day and embraced by our employee’s, agents, and service providers.

Intercontinental, over the years has grown and expanded its capabilities and In 2016, Intercontinental Van Lines, Inc. merged with Parry International Relocations Ltd. (PIR), a well known Canadian International Relocation company operating World Wide! Vince Parry, another long time veteran of the business and with extensive work and travel in Europe, Canada, and the world, became a Partner & Director in the Intercontinental Group.
