Wherley Moving was founded in York County in 1920 by J.D. Leonard. It operated under the name J.D. Leonard Moving and Storage until 1978 when the name was changed to Leonard-Wherley Moving Systems to reflect the transition within the family to another generation of movers. Now the name is Wherley Generations, Inc. to reflect the past, present and future generations of family members that operated our business. In 2017, Wherley Generations opened a second location in Timonium, Maryland to better serve our customers with their moving, packing, and storage needs. Currently the fourth generation is working to provide the best moving services possible to Central Pennsylvania and Maryland communities.
