This organization was started by two old friends who share a vision for a better moving business, founded upon trust, respect and years of experience. Owner Ed Hourigan was a key player for 6 years in another top-rated moving company here in NYC. Now, we’re going out on our own, and we’re taking a careful selection of our crew with us. We know the lay of the land in New York City and we know the moving industry from top to bottom. As a small company, quality control is not a problem for us. We maintain a small staff of skilled movers that are good communicators, and that are all well-experienced in the nuances of the job: packing boxes, wrapping/prepping furniture, loading dollies, running stairs, packing the truck, tight doorways/stairwells and bulky objects, strict building-management moving restrictions, parking hassles, and (how to dodge) traffic jams (when possible). We have a moving license issued by the NYSDOT (T-38073), and as required by their regulations we carry substantial liability and motor cargo insurance. Storage
We moved into a bonafide warehouse in Greenpoint Brooklyn in 2011, and are now offering competitively priced, climate controlled short and long term storage options to our moving customers. Please inquire by e-mail or fill out a quote request form and specify that you’re interested in storage options.

Furniture Delivery
Do you run a store that sells home or office furnishings, and have a need for in-home deliveries? We have worked with many of the furniture stores in Williamsburg for years, doing small deliveries starting at one piece. References available on request. We blanket or shrink wrap all pieces, and have experience in dis and re-assembly of all varieties of furniture. We can do setup, packaging removal and disposal, and placement in your customer’s house. We can pickup from your store during business hours, and deliver to your customers on their schedule.

Q How long does it take to move?

This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your
shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment
is traveling.

Because the furnishings of the average household will not fill a truck, it is often necessary
for two or more shipments to be loaded on the same truck. Each shipment is carefully
sectioned off from the others.

With the help of computer-assisted dispatching system, pickup and delivery dates
are scheduled according to the origins and destinations of individual shipments on the trucks,
as well as shipment weight.

Q My move date changed. What should I do?

Contact your move coordinator as soon as you can if your move dates have changed.
He/she can process any changes to your plan and discuss updates; keep in mind your estimate
may change depending on the dates you selected.
