Local moving services is any move within the state line or less than 100 miles from our base location. It is charged by hourly rate. Minute Movers has been providing local moving services to homes & businesses since 2003 with an A+ rating on BBB & 5 star rating on Yelp.
LOCAL MOVERS
Minute Movers moving and storage services ensures you will have movers for moving you in and out of our storage unit. Brooklyn Movers provides temperature-controlled storage units. Storage rates vary based on the inventory and season.
STORAGE
Minute Movers provides self packing, full or partial packing services to ensure the well-being of your goods while in transit. All packing services are based on an hourly rate plus materials used to pack the goods, such as boxes, plastic wrap, mattress covers, packing paper and more.
PACKING SERVICES
Minute Movers provides long distance moving services outside of the state to ensure a prompt deliveries of your goods. We do long distance on east coast of the USA. The ability to deliver in 1 day or 2 days will depend on your move size and destination state.
Can I pack anything in the drawers of my dresser or desk?
All loose items must be packed in boxes to prevent loss or damage while moving. It is
recommended that you pack all items and leave the drawers empty.
What should I do with my jewelry and other valuable items?
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
