Our business was established in 1943. At that time, it was called Auclair Transport. Noël-Aimé Auclair, our founder, distributed mail with the help of his wife and his eleven children. In 1971, Mr. Auclair partnered with his children to purchase Rapide Transport, which was to operate under the Atlas Van Lines banner for the next 27 years.

Since then, many branches and sales offices have emerged, notably in Montreal, Fermont and Chicoutimi. In 1993, Rapide Transport opened a branch in Goose Bay, which allowed it to compete as a specialized moving company in the North.

When Groupe Auclair was established in 1996, the name Rapide Transport changed to Déménagements Rapide. In 1999, our company partnered with United Van Lines, which made our services more comprehensive than ever, especially thanks to a revolutionary

At Déménagements Rapide, we have 40,000 square feet of heated warehouse space, equipped with containers and an alarm system in Quebec City and Montreal and 15,000 square feet in Chicoutimi and Goose Bay. When it comes to storage, two possibilities are offered. You can choose a container or an inside storage unit. Both are perfectly secure.
