Meet your friendly professional mover, packer and owner of Ready Move Ltd., Aaron Butterworth. Aaron is a 3rd generation mover, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, and often found working with one of his brothers.

If you’ve ever seen the Simpson’s episode where Homer is loading up the family station wagon for vacation, you’ll know how Aaron views the world. If you missed that episode, just picture the contents of your house as tetris blocks. Organization is the key when it comes to a successful move and Aaron has always had an internal drive to organize the things around him.

With over 20 years of moving experience and 15 years of packing experience, Aaron took some time away from the industry to stay home with his three young children. In reflecting on his past experience he realized as a professional mover, his most common observation was on the day his crew showed up, many customers simply were not ready. To move a household, whether big or small, is an overwhelming task and customers were either too busy with work and life to dedicate the time needed to prepare, or lacked the knowledge or physical ability to do the work.

Packer for Hire
Treat your VIP customers to a profession packer with the experience to handle any job. Contract packing services available year round. Over 15 years of experience in packing including high end homes, RCMP, DND, overseas, long distance and local. Packer for Hire services provides high quality packing when and where you need it.

Handy Man for Hire
Looking for someone to take care of all the small but crucial details? Specialty contract services include custom crate building, furniture assembly and disassembly, TV mounting. and other small jobs. Handy Man for Hire services provides detail oriented, perfectionist level quality work by an experienced professional who knows the moving business inside and out.

Teacher for Hire
The days of second or third-generation movers are coming to an end and high employee turnover costs money and morale. New employees to the moving business lack the experience and knowledge to fill positions above the level of swamper. Crew leads are stretched too thin and don’t have time to train every new employee while also handling customer relations and supervising their crew. Professional training services available year round. Teacher for Hire services gets new employees started on the right foot and keeps current employees moving up the ladder by providing them with training both off and on the job.

*Mover 101
New hires starting their summer jobs? Save the time (and sanity) of your senior crew leaders by bringing in a professional to train the newbies. Training includes a 3 hour preliminary group session at a table with handouts provided plus on-the-job training and supervision for one shift per new hire. All trainees must have completed internal operations, safety and general employee training before attending Mover 101.

*Mover Level Up
Need more employees who can handle VIP jobs? More crews to pack or load international jobs? Provide your staff with the knowledge they need to get specialized jobs done. Training includes a 3 hour preliminary group session at a table with handouts provided plus on-the-job training and supervision for one shift per employee. All trainees must have attended Mover 101 and/or have a minimum of 3 months experience in the moving industry.

You’ve put together a plan to get your client’s house sold. If putting that plan into place is going to require relocating pieces of furniture within a property, putting select items into storage or some pre-packing is required, we can help. Time Crunch Solution

Have a client ready to go with their home renovation but have your crew busy finishing off your last job? Maximize your crew’s valuable time by having the site prepped in advance. Furniture, glassware and artwork can all be safely and professionally packed so it’s out of the way for you to work your magic.

Living in a space with no room for your stuff? Renovating your kitchen and need to get all your glassware out of the way of your contractor, preferably in one piece? Needing short term storage between possession or lease dates? We can help with all that. Save your sanity as well as some money by maximizing your space. The Store It service can help with storage in the living areas of your home, in basements, garages or apartment storage lockers and short or long term storage at a self storage facility or container storage system.

House for Sale

Thinking about selling your home but worried some areas are not showing to their best potential? Life can get in the way of highlighting the things we love about our spaces. Seasonal items, sports equipment, children’s toys and more can all take up valuable storage space in a way that may not appeal to buyers. The House for Sale service puts your home’s best foot forward while allowing you to continue life as usual during the process of selling.

Available Services Include:

pre-packing of off season or unneeded household goods

organization of storage areas to accommodate packed items

transportation of packed items to off-site storage

re-arranging, set up or take down of existing furniture

Pack it Up
Your home has sold or your lease is up, and it’s almost time to move! Whether you’re a do-it-yourself-er or will be hiring a professional moving company the key to a successful move is all in the prep work. A professional packer can prepare an entire house in just a day. The Pack it Up service ensures your most valuable possessions are protected and gets your move off to a smooth start.

Available Services Include:

full pack and prep – everything from your attic down to your basement will be packed and prepared to move. This includes packing of glassware, clothing, linens, storage areas, sheds, garages, storage lockers as well as disassembly of furniture.

partial pack – kitchen and breakables, artwork, and disassembly of furniture

custom pack – tell us what you want to handle yourself, and we’ll do the rest

learn to pack – we’ll provide supplies and a 1 hour walk through of your home providing tips and tricks along the way. Custom hand outs included for reference.

Take a Load Off
That’s it, your move is done and its time relax! Except for all those cartons that need to be unpacked. And furniture that needs to be positioned. Unfortunately life doesn’t stop because you moved. At the end of the day, you want a bed to sleep in and clothes in the closet. A dish or two in the kitchen wouldn’t hurt either. The Take a Load off service lets you get started on living life in your new space, get back to work, or get planning the housewarming party.
